นายไวยวิชญ์ มานะมนตรีกุล หัวหน้าสำนักเลขาธิการ สมาคมวัฒนธรรมและเศรษฐกิจไทย-จีน เปิดเผยว่าที่ประชุมคณะกรรมการสมาคมฯ มีมติให้ ดร.โภคิน พลกุล นายกสมาคมฯ นำคณะผู้แทนสมาคมฯ ร่วมกับคณะผู้บริหารไทย-จีน รุ่นใหม่ (TCYEP) จำนวนรวม 50 คน เดินทางไปสัมมนาและทัศนศึกษาตามคำเชิญของสมาคมมิตรภาพวิเทศสัมพันธ์แห่งประชาชนจีน ระหว่างวันที่ 14-19 ธันวาคม 2558
นายไวยวิชญ์ มานะมนตรีกุล กล่าวว่าโครงการดังกล่าวเป็นความร่วมมือระหว่างสมาคมฯ กับสมาคมมิตรภาพวิเทศสัมพันธ์แห่งประชาชนจีน ซึ่งได้รับมอบหมายจากสันนิบาตเยาวชนพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์แห่งประเทศจีน จัดคณะผู้บริหารไทย-จีน รุ่นใหม่ที่อายุไม่เกิน 45 ปี โดยฝ่ายไทยต้องเป็นบุตรหลานผู้นำรัฐบาล หรือภาคธุรกิจที่มีสินทรัพย์ 500 ล้านบาทขึ้นไป ส่วนฝ่ายจีนก็เช่นเดียวกัน แต่ขนาดสินทรัพย์ต้องเกิน 1,000 ล้านบาทขึ้นไป โดยแต่ละฝ่ายจะจัดผู้บริหารรุ่นใหม่ฝ่ายละ 40 คน ซึ่งการสัมมนาและทัศนศึกษาครั้งแรกจัดขึ้นที่ประเทศไทย โดยสมาคมวัฒนธรรมและเศรษฐกิจไทย-จีน เป็นเจ้าภาพ และครั้งนี้จะเป็นครั้งที่สอง จะจัดขึ้นที่กรุงปักกิ่งและมหานครเซี่ยงไฮ้ ระหว่างวันที่ 14-19 ธันวาคม 2558 โดยฝ่ายจีนเป็นผู้ออกค่าเครื่องบินและค่าใช้จ่ายทั้งหมด
